Harvard College is the school responsible for undergraduate admissions, advising, student activities, on-campus housing, and athletics. Harvard College is also one of only two schools within Harvard University that offers undergraduate degrees.
Harvard College offers academic courses taught by world-class faculty in a variety of disciplines. The college recently underwent sweeping changes by replacing its core curriculum with a ‘gen en’ program that allows students more flexibility during their first two years of school.
Freshmen and sophomores now have the opportunity to conduct research and even study abroad. Students who receive their degree from Harvard College typically are awarded an Artium Baccalaureus (A.B.) degree or an Scientiarium Baccalaureus (S.B.).
